Dr. Cheryl Mae Granada is a registered and licensed occupational therapist through the National Board for Certification of Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) and a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) of which she served as a writer (FOCUS article author) and board member (Student Resource Editor) in past years.

She serves the Linebaugh and New Port Richey clinics for Ginger Health. Dr. G was born in New York and later moved with her family to Ocala, Florida with her younger brother and older sister. Since she was in the 10th grade, Dr. G aspired to be an occupational therapist with a strong passion to work with children and families with physical, developmental, and psychosocial disabilities/limitations.

She pursued her Bachelors of Science in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology with a concentration in Fitness and Wellness from the University of Florida and procured her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University- Tampa.

Dr. G completed her fieldwork training and doctoral residency at John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital- Palm Harbor and Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children/Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Infants respectively and gained valuable knowledge in research-based care/approaches and interventions including but not limited to Ayres Sensory Integration, sensory processing/regulation diets, Astronaut training/Therapeutic Listening program (Certified), Handwriting Without Tears techniques, Interactive Metronome techniques, Perception-Action motor learning techniques, Kinesiology taping, Visual perception/motor development and Feeding therapy. Her skill set and knowledge base stems from her passion and drive for the profession of occupational therapy.

Living by the water and various nature trails, Dr. G enjoys hiking, riding her bike especially along the causeway- walking her dogs, Orange Theory Fitness, and spending quality time with family. Being a second-generation Filipino American, Dr. G is inspired by the dedicated work ethic and ambition of her parents who came to America leaving behind family and learning a new language and lifestyle to have a brighter future. Dr. G believes in the value of teamwork and refers to Rob Base and DJ EZ Rock, It takes two to make a thing go right, It takes two to make it outta sight! She believes the Ginger Health team is one of a kind.
